Vegetation

In Europe, Albania is ranked among the most varied plant species, related to climate, soil, relief and so on. In the western regions dominate the Mediterranean vegetation types such as sea bass, heath, vermin, etc., while in them, the plants of Eastern and Central Europe such as oak, beech, fir, black pines etc. There are also many endemic plants, i.e plants that are only in our country.

Because of the predominance of the mostly hill-mountain relief, which is subject to visible changes in climate and other factors, the vegetation is scaled vertically in four generations: the breeze of the trees and the Mediterranean forests, the oak breeds, and of the conifers and the alpine pasture belt.
